The workshop will be a 4 hour session that includes table reads and constructive feedback (as well as coffee).
We only have a limited number of spots available, so shoot us an email if you would like further information.

Applicants will be selected on a first come, first served basis.

Hope to see you there.

Your Character Has Depth. He Has an Arc. Who Cares? Creating Emotional Impact with Your Writing

So you've finished your step outline or your draft and your protagonist has gone from hero to heel or schlub to mensch. It's an interesting journey to be sure, with highs and lows but that payoff you're looking for, commonly called the catharsis, is nowhere to be seen. You want to pull at your audience's heart strings, but you want to do it without using trickery--like killing a child or pretending to kill a child. What do you do?

Inaugural Post

Hello Screenwriting nation and welcome to Page2Screen: the blog that focuses on the business and craft of screenwriting. Be prepared for regular posts from our knowledgeable staff (all of us have MFA’s in screenwriting) that examine the ins and outs of the craft.
Our first article will be part of a regular feature by staffer Danniel Dean that focuses on “the classics”, films that hail from the oft overlooked heyday of Hollywood (we’re talking pre Spielberg).
So add us to your reading list and wait with bated breath.
You can also follow us on twitter at Page2Screen, where we’ll be regularly posting little nuggets of truth about the craft as well.
Remember, writers write.
